Turmeric, Carrot and Garlic Rice

What you need to Get:

Your favourite Bruemar Pork product

 

+ 4 tablespoons vegetable oil

+ 4 tablespoons turmeric
+ 1 teaspoon cumin

+ 1 teaspoon cinnamon

 

+ 3 large carrots, grated

+ 2 brown onions, finely diced

+ 3 garlic cloves, minced

+ Salt and pepper

 

+ 320g basmati rice

+ 600ml water

 

+ 60g dried fruit mix

+ 60g hazelnuts, toasted and roughly chopped
+ 1 lemon, cut into wedges

+ Parsley, chopped

What you need to do:

1. Heat vegetable oil in a pot,  add spices and cook for 1 minute. Add carrots, garlic and onion. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally until softened. Season with salt and pepper.

 

2. Add rice, mix until well coated. Add water, bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes on medium-low heat.

 

3. Meanwhile, cook your preferred Bruemar Pork Steak according to packet instructions.

 

4. Stir the dried fruits and hazelnuts into the rice. Sprinkle with parsley and a squeeze of lemon before serving.
