PORK BELLY BITES WITH RICE
WHAT YOU NEED TO GET:
1 Bruemar Marinated Pork Belly Bites
+ 1 cup (200g) jasmine rice
+ 2 cups (500ml) water
+ 1 tea spoon salt
+ 1 handful sesame seeds
+ 2 sprigs coriander, finely chopped
+ 2 spring onions, finely chopped
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:
1. Preheat oven to 150 °C (fan forced). Remove outer packaging and set aside sauce sachet for later use. Remove belly bites from pouch and place onto a baking rack on an ovenable dish. Place in the centre of the oven and cook for 45 minutes.
2. 10 minutes before the Marinated Pork Belly Bites are cooked, Place water and salt in a saucepan and bring to the boil, then add the rice and cook for 10 minutes. Continue to stir while cooking. When ready, strain water off and sit for 5 minutes.
3. Remove belly bites from oven and transfer to a clean baking dish. Pour the contents of the sauce sachet evenly over the meat, stirring through and cook for a further 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to stand for 5 minutes.
4. combine half rice and half Marinated Pork Belly Bites to a bowl. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, spring onion and coriander before serving.
